The End of 2006
WOW! What a year it has been. How do I even start to describe it ? Man... I don't think any single word can describe the year I had. One thing is for certain though, I sure had loads of fun this year! Man, I've always said that time flies and it really does! I think this year was full of changes? Yeah, I suppose you can say that in a way. Let me take you guys on my 2006 memory lane...
In poly, I started on my second year and it was great because I was still in the same class as my year one classmates and we had 1 semester left together. That was the time when I felt we really bonded together as a class. I felt that we came together as one class rather than in groups. I also managed to learn more about some of my classmates that I wasn't really close with in year one. I had a blast for that one and a half semester with them. Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. We had to choose the option we wanted to go to and soon, we were all divided. So we are all in different classes right now, but most of us are in pairs. L0L! Fortunately, most of the class still meet up for lunch regularly and even on outings or just to study. Yeah, I think that we should have more gatherings often as an entire class too! So the new class came along. Well, this new class is more quiet and decent? compared to my previous class. It ain't bad or anything, but I wish that perhaps (OMG! after 1 year I still nearly spelt it as Perharps!! L0L!) my current classmates are more sociable. Well, I'm still happy and I'm still smiling though! At least Jeremiah and Wei An is in my class! L0L! Apart from school, here's almost everything else that happened in 2006. On the 14th of January, I finally got my iPod Nano!! Special thanks to my Dad for getting it for me! Rest assure that it has been put to good use and I'm listening to music every single day! I managed to learn 2 new sports this year as well! First was Softball, which I learnt in school through the Sports & Wellness IS. I had an amazingly fun time and I met many good friends that I still keep in contact with now!! It's a really fun sport and I would really like to play it sometime with the friends I made in there. Secondly, I learnt to play Squash as well. I also learnt that in school through one of my lecturers! Mr Chua!! Wow, so nice of him to teach us for free too. Thanks Mr Chua! Although I'm still a beginner and would like to pick up Squash because I really enjoyed it so far! Hopefully, next year I'll get to play more Squash with my classmates as well. On the 4th of February, my life changed as I had my very first DotA experience with my ex-secondary school classmates. I still can recall that we played at Ginza Plaza's Lan Shop and we waited for quite some time before there were seats. L0L! Also, the very next day I went to borrow the disc from my ex-secondary school classmate (Jian Chao) to install it on my computer and his disc is still with me! I didn't realise that it was such a long time ago! L0L! Sorry man, I'll return back to you the next time we meet! I promise! After installing it on my laptop, I started playing almost everyday and most of the time with yet another ex-secondary school classmate (Khairul). That was when we really started to talk more and stayed in contact although we are in different polytechnics now. See! Games are not bad! They actually bring people together for bonding and keeping in contact too! =X 15th February, my 18th birthday! I didn't manage to celebrate it because not too long before that date, my grandpa passed away. It was really emotional for me because I hadn't seen him for such a long time due to some family issues I guessed. The last time I saw him before he left was in hospital and he looked so diffierent that I couldn't recognise him. He slimmed down so much and looked so weak lying on the hospital bed. Grandpa, I will remember the things you taught me and told me. I love you and I promise that I will study hard and do my best in whatever that may come. =] The next month on the same date, which is 4th of March, I went to Kuala Lumpur with 3 of my classmates. Dennis, Gavin, Jeremiah and I headed off in the evening to Johor Bahru to take the train to Kuala Lumpur because it was cheaper! I still can remember what a torture it was on that train ride and the part where we got stuck in the forest that seemed like forever. Also, when we were about to check-in in the morning, we realised that the check-in time was at 3pm and not at 12pm, which we thought it was. Thankfully, we were able to check-in because the room wasn't in use. The hotel room at the Berjaya Times Square was amazing and awesome! You guys have to really check it out sometime! By the way, I won't want to go to the indoor theme park again because I got really freaked out by the rides! I'm afraid of heights!! So, don't make me go on such high rides again! L0L! Man, that was my very FIRST trip to Malaysia and also my FIRST overseas trip with my classmates! We had a whole load of fun there and I can still remember the rush during the last hour to catch the coach back to Singapore. Mind you, that coach was like 5 stars man. In fact, it probably is the best bus I have ever rode on. Wow, that was really a fun and memorable trip with my 3 fellow classmates! I also went back to Kuala Lumpur again this year, but I can't really recall which month it was. I went with my relatives this time over the weekend and I forgot the name of the hotel that we stayed at. One thing is for sure though, the hotel we stayed at wasn't as grand as the Berjaya Times Square hotel. I had a good time again, but it wasn't as fun as the time I went with my classmates. However, I did manage to explore some parts of Kuala Lumpur that I didn't explore previously. I bought back a pack of chewing gum for my entire class too! L0L! Oh, I did go to Johor Bahru as well a couple of times with my friends, but I don't remember the exact dates. It was just a one day thing and basically we just walked around and chilled. Yeah, so I did go to Malaysia for about 4 times this year! L0L! I think the one thing that football fans really enjoyed this year was the World Cup in June! I'm not a really big soccer fan, but I still did catch most of the matches because my dad subscribed to the channel. I remember the first match between Germany and Poland. Alex, Dennis, Jeremiah and Qing Xiang all went to Gavin's house to catch it. I think that was the FIRST time I stayed over at a friend's house for the night! I remember we were all rushing from his void deck to his house because we were a minute from kickoff and the cool thing was that we made it in time! L0L! The first goal was scored within the first 5 minutes as well by Germany and the final score was 4-2 in Germany's favour. Wow, I had a great time that night because we were all watching the World Cup and playing DotA as well. L0L! We went to sleep at around 6am and woke up again to play mahjong! Man, it was a really fun time there! Oh I can recall that before the World Cup ended, school actually reopened. So nothing much really happened during the school days up till the 19th of September. That was when I managed to get a temporary job in the same company as 2 of my aunties. The job there was pretty fine compared to the places I work at before. I mean it was worth the pay, which was $7 an hour. I've worked at other places before where the money was just not worth the amount of work I had to do. Therefore I had a good time working in this company along with my aunties. Although I only managed to work for about 2 weeks because they hired a full time staff in the end, I managed to earn $600 plus and it is still in my bank today! Yay! I'm so proud of myself! I did learn alot in the company as well about both admin and accounting stuff. Hopefully, with this experience, I would be able to find a job easier during the next long break! After working for 2 weeks, my relatives decided to go to Hong Kong together! My uncle sponsored my trip too! Thanks so much! Woah, it was fun going there and the shopping was good! I got to try the local food and I love dim sum, so it was great to taste where the original dim sums came from. Although the Hong Kong trip was a short one (If I recall correctly, it was for 5 days), I had a good time just going overseas to experience what the country is like. We even met with some of our relatives there too and had dinner with them! Hong Kong is definitely the place to go for shopaholics, I'm telling you guys that you won't regret it! L0L! Yeah, then school reopened on the 16th of October with my new class as I said earlier. Well, nothing much actually happened during that teaching weeks except maybe I made more new friends? Anyway, let's skip all the way to December. Today is the 31st of December and it's the last day of 2006. I'm currently having a short 2 week term break now until the 2nd of January. During these 2 weeks, I've been quite busy meeting up with friends as well as relatives. Also, I've been blogging quite alot for the past 2 weeks as well! L0L! Yeah, so I'm not going to elaborate so much on these past 2 weeks. Just read my past few posts yeah? =] So, let's talk about my health this year. Well, I haven't been in the pink of the health (like they always say) this year. I fell sick at least 3 times and 2 of those times were during the day before my common test/exam. In fact, I've just fully recovered from the flu I had just before this month's common test. My health hasn't been at it's best year, so I guess I'll just have to take care of myself more and watch what I eat and do. Yeah! =] Next is relationships. Well, I'm still single if you guys didn't manage to figure that out yet! L0L! =X I'm not looking to get into a relationship anytime soon because that isn't one of my top priorities now, but if she comes by then I would take that leap of faith. My family is doing well, there really isn't much to talk about my family though. L0L! Although sometime I don't necessarily agree with what my parents say or do, I still respect their decision and listen to them. My sister and I have always been distance and we still are. We don't talk that often and stuff, but I guess there's just a communication breakdown that we will have to fix somehow and someway. As you all should know by now, I have 2 amazing and incredible godbros! Pan Ge and Fei Ge! L0L! Firstly, fei ge! I managed to meet him more this year compared to last year. Also, I think we started talking more also and had more brother bonding. He said he will meet up with me more next year too! Thanks for everything and all the times you were there whenever I needed somebody to talk to. I really do appreciate it! Secondly is pan ge! Wah, like the complete opposite! L0L! Hao Jiu Bu Jian (Long time didn't see you) already! I didn't manage to meet him at all this year! Hopefully, I get to meet up with you at least ONCE next year though. L0L! The thing is he's in army now and I wish him all the best yea! Also, thank you for everything and listening to me whenever I needed to talk with you. Alright, that's pretty much for the relationship part! =] I was viewing some of my entries this year and I didn't even recall making this entry on my resolution for 2006, which I posted on the 1st of January 2006. Wow! Let's take a look on the 5 resolutions that I made for myself for this year... 1. Be a good boy - Not just a good boy, but a good person as well. Basically to be a better person and be more understanding and sensitive towards other's feelings. Result: I feel that I've become a better person seriously and that I listen more and I try to understand other's feelings. I think I've become more mature in making decisions as well. 2. Do well in studies - Well, something that I have to achieve. It has been going pretty well so far, but I'm need striving for better results. Result: My results have improved and I feel that although I didn't manage to get into Aerospace, I still did my best and I'm proud of the results I have achieved. 3. Be less spendthrift - Not to waste money on things that I don't necessary have to buy and hopefully get a job during the long break to earn some cash. Result: I felt that this year I managed to control my finance much better compared with last year. I started my savings plan with Prudential and I managed to work as well. Although it was only 2 weeks, but still I managed to save the money up till today. 4. Birthday Blast! - Another milestone in my life this year. I'll be 18 on Feb 15th and I'm looking foward to it. I'm definitely hoping to have a blast on that day and I can finally watch M18 movies!!! Not to forget all the presents that I'll be receiving!!! L0L! Result: As I mentioned earlier, I didn't manage to celebrate my 18th birthday, so I didn't have a birthday blast. Come to think of it now, it really isn't that important compared to some other things in life. I'm still smiling! =] 5. Go for a holiday - Yup, something I really need and I intend to do. Hopefully, I'll get to go to places like Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, America, etc. L0L! Result: Oh yeah! I managed to go Malaysia as well as Hong Kong this year! Although they were all short trips, but still hey I had a great time. Maybe not the countries that I intended or wanted to visit, but it was still worth the trip! =] Yeah, so it is pretty cool huh ? I managed to accomplished 4 out of the 5 things that I set for myself! Wow, I think that I'm going to set for myself at least 10 things for 2007 and see how many of them I can actually accomplish and guess what ? We are going to do that right here, right now! YEAH! 2007 Resolution (In no random order) --------------------------------------- 1. Better person - Yes, I know it may sound the same like the 2006 resolution, but hey even if I have become a better person, I still want to be an even better person for 2007. I hope that every year I'll be an even better person compared with the previous year! =] 2. Health - Well, I'm going to start to take care of my health more now because I don't want to fall sick often. In fact, I don't want to fall sick at all in 2007. That's the goal that I would love to achieve. 3. Exercise/Train - In order to stay in the pink of health, I guess I'll have to start exercising and at the same time train for National Service. I won't want to die in there and I know that I'm not weak. 4. Studies - To keep up and improve as much as I can. I want to do as well as I can and get my diploma, then hopefully get into a University in Singapore and my desired course as well. 5. Holiday! - I still want to go on a holiday during the long semester break. This time I would love to go Australia, as I heard my relatives are planning it and so are my friends. A short trip to Thailand/Phuket would be just as great too! 6. Relationships - Maintain and strengthen the bonds with my family as well as my friends (both old and new). I would like to stay in contact with my old friends as well as get to know more about my new friends too ! =] 7. Decisions - I want to make wiser decision on my own and be happy about the decisions or choices that I made. I feel that sometimes my mind gets clouded up really easy and that is what I would like to prevent from happening. I would love to have a clear mind and make a clear decision from now on. 8. Finance - Yes, I want to continue maintaining my finances properly. I've learn to be less spendthrift, but there's still room for improvement. I think that I shouldn't spend on the things I want, but more like on the things I actually need. 9. Commitment - To do whatever I said I will do and not walk away from it or try to avoid it. I feel that it is only right for me to do the things I agree to do and not go back on my words. For 2007, I would like to do everything that I agree to do or help out in. 10. Religion - Maybe it is time when I actually think about it and decide if I should be a Christian or remain as a free thinker. Is this the year where I'll figure that out? I won't know, but I'll try to figure it out still. So there you have it! My 2007 Resolutions! The 10 things that I will try my best to accomplish by the 31st of December 2007 at 11:59:59pm! L0L! That was exactly the same thing I said in my 2006 Resolution. Oh well, let's just wait and see what this year really has to offer and bring to the table eh ? Haha... it has been a LONG entry and I have had a blast posting this entry. The memories and everything in 2006 will not be forgetten! I hope that you guys reading this had much fun as I had posting this entry. I promise that I'll try to update more often in 2007 k ? Thank you all so much for sticking with me this entire 2006 and I hope all of you have an incredible and wonderful and amazing year ahead! So for the last time in 2006, take care and cya all soon! =] "Embrace whatever you have and anything else that comes is a bonus." - Shawn (Yes! me lah! L0L!) Btw, F.Y.I: I came up with this quote by myself. This is to remind us of people who are much more unfortunate compared to us. We often take for granted what we have and complain about stuff that aren't really that important. There are people out there that don't even have a place to stay or food to eat. So, always keep in mind that if you think that you are unfortunate, there are always others out there who are living an even tougher life than you are. Therefore, we should embrace whatever/everything we have and anything/everything else that comes to us is a bonus. P.S: The time now is 5.15am and I really took the time to post this entry not for anybody else but for myself. The time shown below is the time I started posting. If I'm correct, this entry took me about 3 hours. That's the longest time I have ever written any entry and this is probably the LONGEST post I have ever written in all of my blogging career! L0L! I wonder if whether next year I'll be able to post an even longer entry than this. L0L! We'll see then. Anyways, the next time you see my next entry, it will be 2007! =]

A Visit to NUH
I wanted to blog yesterday, but somehow my internet couldn't load the blogger home page. It took awhile to load just now as well, but at least I'm here now. =]
Yesterday was a mentally exhausting day. I met Alex and Gavin at around 1.30pm at Buona Vista MRT station. Everyone was late as usual. Farhanah came only at 2pm! L0L! She was with her brother and he looks more Chinese than her. L0L! Then, we took the free shuttle bus to NUH. We reached around 2.30pm I think. When we got there, we went to this shop to get something for Joanne's dad. We took a long time picking and choosing what to get because most of the time we were debating. L0L! The fruits in the basket looked fake to me somehow, so Farhanah and I were debating whether they were real or fake. Then she said "You squeeze la see if got juice come out". Ok fine, no comments to that. After that, we debated if the flowers were real or fake and I told her "You squeeze la see if got juice come out". L0L! No comments from her after that. Therefore in conclusion, you'll never know what is real if you never try. Hmmm... In the end we got this basket of Brands Essences of Chicken?? There was also a flower that reads "Get Well Soon". At the cashier, the lady asked us if we would like to write a card. So we agreed, but we didn't really know what to write on the card and we discussed awhile. At first, we wrote on the front "To: Mr Chan & Family". Correct wad. Well wishes and all. My England where got so jialat siaL. Then the cashier said "Whole family admitted ah?". I was lost for words at that point, while the rest kept laughing. She could have told us earlier when we were discussing right! Yeah, then we went up to visit him. We met Joanne at the lift lobby and she took us to the day room first because the nurse was checking up on her dad at that moment. So we waited awhile before we went in. I think her dad's getting better day by day so be strong Joanne! You have friends here that will be there with you! =] After visiting her dad, we went for "lunch" at the foodcourt downstairs. It was around 4pm plus I think. Then, we all decided to go Causeway Point to walk around. We actually wanted to take a cab at Buona Vista MRT Station, but when we reached there we decided to go all the way to Causeway Point. The taxi driver didn't seem too happy though. Don't look at me. L0L! When we reached Causeway Point, we walked around and looked for a belated birthday gift for Jeremiah. I dare to say here because I know he doesn't read people's blog, so NO SCARE AH! L0L! Even if he sees it also no use because in the end we didn't manage to find anything suitable. L0L! SCARE RITE ? I don't know why after the cab ride I felt so tired and sleepy. It wasn't physically, but more like mentally drained. So we left the place at around 7pm plus and I went to West Mall after that. I got my haircut at last. WOO! I can finally feel the wind in my head man. I also dyed my hair brown colour! That's the first time I actually dyed a dark colour compared to the previous times. Although it isn't that obvious, but I still like it! HAH! Now, I think darker colours are more suited for me. L0L! Then I went to get my shampoo and headed back home to slack and stuff. Too lazy to elaborate. Anyway, today is already the 30th of Dec and the new year is coming real soon. I think I'm going to blog again at midnight about the year and what I hope to archive in 2007, so stay tune! I'm stopping here for now because I have to be going soon, so take care guys and don't forget to read my LAST post for 2006! Awww... Cya! =] "Remember, no matter where you go, there you are." - Earl Mac Rauch

Boxing Day!!
Oh... Christmas is over! It's a really cold boxing day and I think I'll be home for the whole day. I have been out late for the past few days, so I think I'm going to take things a little slow for today. L0L!
Let's talk about Christmas day itself! I had a good time with a few of my classmates. I didn't really start off on a good note because I made a promise and I didn't commit to it. I'm terribly sorry and I won't want it to happen again. I'll try. So... I met my friends at 5pm. Alex, Gavin, Jeremiah, Wei Xuan and I went to Cineleisure to watch "Night At The Museum". It's only right if you watch it at night, therefore we watched the 7.55pm time slot. L0L! No la... actually we wanted to watch one of the 6pm plus movie, but the seats were too front, so we didn't really have a choice. L0L! The movie was really funny and I enjoyed it because you won't know what's coming next. It's the unexpected funny parts that I really had a good laugh with. I think you guys should catch it too! After the movie, we walked down orchard road to take a look at the Christmas decoration. It was really nice, but nothing really that grand I guess. We were deciding on where to go after that. At first, Gavin suggested to go Clarke Quay, but somehow all of us didn't alight at the MRT station. L0L! Then, Alex suggested to go Holland Village because it was near to his house. So when we reached Buona Vista MRT staion, I was looking at everyone else but nobody moved. Then I not we not going to alight again, but somehow all of us managed to rush out. L0L! We took a "tour" of Buona Vista because Alex didn't want to get caught in the rain. >.< So we reached Holland Village and we were deciding where to go. I don't drink alcohol so I told them I don't mind anywhere as long as have water can already. L0L! Paisei ah I NOOB mah, I don't drink alcohol one. In the end, we decided to go Starbucks and it was closing in 20 minutes. Therefore, we bought our drinks and walked back to the MRT station. I bought this green tea frappacino(paisei dunno how to spell) and Jeremiah was like "OMG! Wasabi frappacino!" L0L! It was midnight when we reached the station and Christmas was officially over!! Yay!! I had a great time! I reached home about 12.45am ? I took a shower and went back online after that. Amin made a comment like "Shawn's never around". I'm thinking and I still am... "Really?". I always thought that I'm there most of the time. I never thought of that though because I always reply when people talk to me and stuff. Hmmm... I'll look into that. So we played a round of "SWAT" (WC3 modification). I still don't understand the game! L0L! I don't know what we supposed to do and all, I'm like just shooting the zombies. L0L! Definitely not my kind of game or in other words, not my cup of tea. Erm... Yeah that's how I celebrated Christmas! ahahha! And sorry to dennis for not asking you because we all thought you are extremely busy and won't be free on Christmas. Paisei ah! L0L! Oh check this song out by Supernova. It's call "Be Yourself" and the lyrics are really meaningful. Basically, they are saying be yourself and not someone else that you are not. I think that it's important for us to be ourselves and not anybody else, so do check this song out. =] Supernova - Be Yourself Be Yourself And Not Somebody Else It Might Take Some Little Effort Or Maybe Just A Little Help But You Can Figure It Out If Not, Just Do What Everybody Else Does Keep It On The Level If That's What Im Supposed To Keep It On The Level It's Everything Im Told To People Get In Trouble If I Try To Take The Side Of The Road Here's Your HEY HEY HEY Here's Your HO HO HO I Dont Know Where Else To Go 'Cause There's A Really Fine Line, Between What's Yours And What's Mine It's a Line That I Don't Want To Toe You Know I'm Sick Of Being Haunted By Every Cliche That I Know Whatever That Means Even If You're So Young You've never Seen A Limosine You're Gonna One Day Just Remember, Never Get In And Don't Give Up Cuz' You know People Are Gonna Care If You Just Stop Trying Accept Every Dare If You Can’t Seem To Make It Well Maybe Just Try Failure Keep It On The Level If That's What Im Supposed To Keep It On The Level It's Everything Im Told To People Get In Trouble If I Try To Take The Side Of The Road Here's Your HEY HEY HEY Here's Your HO HO HO I Dont Know Where Else To Go 'Cause There's A Really Fine Line, Between What's Yours And What's Mine It's a Line That I Don't Want To Toe You Know I'm Sick Of Being Haunted By Every Cliche That I Know Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Here's Your HEY HEY HEY Here's Your HO HO HO I Dont Know Where Else To Go 'Cause There's A Really Fine Line, Between What's Yours And What's Mine It's a Line That I Don't Want To Toe You Know So, Here's Your HEY HEY HEY Here's Your HO HO HO I Dont Know Where Else To Go 'Cause There's A Really Fine Line, Between What's Yours And What's Mine It's a Line That I Don't Want To Toe You Know I'm Sick Of Being Haunted By Every Cliche That I Know Yeah, that's all for my entry today. Take care and cya soon! =] "I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars." - Og Mandino

i can't think of title leh... -random
Oh... I just watched the Reunion show of Survivor 13 this morning. L0L! I'm extremely happy because in 13 seasons of Survivor, we finally have an Asian winner. Congratulations to Yul Kwon for being the ultimate sole survivor. I was rooting for him at the very start and it's really cool to have an Asian winner at last. I think he really mastered the game and used the hidden immunity idol to his advantage. Oh, he's Korean and I heard that he studied in Harvard too. That's like so cool.
Anyway, I've got the entire season 13 in my computer. I'm going to delete them soon, so if you want them let me know fast yeah? L0L! Oh... I just remembered Wei Xuan is in Australia like now. Hope you're having fun and if you do see this somehow when you're there, please don't forget about my gift. You're Welcome! Damn! I want to go overseas too! *Sighz* No luck this holidays I guess. Hopefully, after my exams, I'll get to go somewhere fun! Fei ge! When are you going to take me to Aussie! >.< Speaking of fei ge, I met him yesterday. L0L! Hao jiu bu jian! I think it's a good thing that I get to see him more often now. He called me around 2pm? And he woke me up! *Roars* At first, I didn't know who's calling because it was a private number (so secretive for what!? >.<). I didn't want to pick up the phone la, so sleepy!! Then in the background, I can hear The Killers playing Mr. Brightside. L0L! I also thought it was the xbox game dealer calling to confirm my orders. He told me he needed to get out of the house because he was feeling super emo at that time, which was 2pm. I was thinking... How the hell can anyone get emo in the afternoon at 2pm!? L0L! Kidding la... So being the wonderful lil' bro I am, how could I say no ? L0L! Anyway, I was supposed to meet him at 4pm in Bugis, but I sort of left my house at 3.45pm? Oops. L0L! So I met him at Redhill first and watch him eat "dinner". L0L! He forgot that he has bible study at 7pm and he only realised at around 4pm. -.= We were talking and he said "Hey, I've got something to give you". I was thinking in my head "Oh yeah right, since when you so good buy things for me ah?" L0L! KIDDING LA! Then, he took out from his bag this invitation card to his church for the Christmas service over the weekends. I just realised I forgot to take it from him before we went different ways. L0L! I didn't bring a bag or anything, so I didn't have any place to put it. Oops. I'll feel bad if I don't go because fei ge has always been inviting me to church and all. *Sighz* I didn't really give him a straight answer because I really don't know what to say. It's like... how can I say no? Everytime he ask me to go anywhere or do anything, I'll try my best to get it done and stuff. Yeah, so it's going to be hard to say no. Yall might be thinking... is it that hard to go to church for a day? Of course it isn't, but there are some things you guys don't know about and I don't want to discuss it here. Anyway, we were deciding to take a cab to Sim Lim Square. He needed to get his laptop fixed. In the end we took the MRT. Sorry la I Budget mah... =X We went to Bugis Street first to walk around. Fei ge was doing some Christmas shopping also, so being the wonderful lil' bro I am, I just tagged along. L0L! He bought this pair of earrings for $20!? $20!!! OMG! I can eat 10 plates of chicken rice at Ngee Ann Poly Canteen 2 leh!! L0L! After that, he said "I think we should go get my laptop fixed first before I make anymore rash decisions". L0L! I've no comments to that, so I just followed. On the way to Sim Lim Square, he asked me if I want to eat ice-cream and he'll treat. Damnit! It sucks having a cough la when you're out with your big bro. We reached Sim Lim Square around 4.45pm? I didn't really pay attention to the time. We didn't really know where the shops that fixes computer and stuff were, so we were walking around aimlessly. I was sort of following him blindly la because I didn't think we were on the correct storey. Then suddenly he said something like "Hey, can you help me look out as well instead of just following me?". I mean he wasn't being rude or anything, but I just don't like being told what to do? I'm like "Yeah, whatever". If you guys didn't know me that well, I'll tell you now. I'm stubborn and I hate people telling me what to do and stuff. I'm a "Whatever" person you know? The don't give a shit kind? I'm not saying I'm not serious or anything. I am when I have to, but there are some things that I can't really be bothered with I guess. Of course, I want to help him find the damn shop that fix laptop and stuff. I mean it's obvious, you don't have to tell me what to do. I wouldn't have followed you if I didn't want to help in the very first place. Yeah, so whatever. Don't get me wrong though, I don't mean no disrespect. So I told him "Maybe we should go to the 4th or 5th storey because I think there are shops that fix laptops and stuff there". In an amazing turn of events, (WOOHOO... nice phase siaL... SCARE rite?) this lady giving out flyers saw me with the laptop and asked "Upgrading or repairing laptop?" I'm like "Yeah..." Then she took us to a shop called "PC Clinic" and we were done in 15 minutes. The repair did cost a bomb though at $80. See... I'm not as useless as yall think! I have the "talk to me" aura yeah! L0L! If it was somebody else, the lady might not even ask. L0L! After that, we went back to Bugis Street to get his stuff. He bought Soya Bean drink then ask me to drink... Cannot la later you kena cough or what also... We went to this shoe shop first. He wanted to get this pair of black/white shoes and I asked "For REAL?" I didn't want to say it was ugly and stuff as it wasn't a nice thing to do especially when the lady is pretty. However, I'm telling you now that the pair you wanted at first was ... U-G-L-Y !!! LUCKILY, he got a different pair in the end, which looks 100% better and nicer. It cost him $32 though. After that, we went to get a pair of pants that matched the shoes. At first, it didn't really look appealing to me. Then, he wore already and showed me... Woah... Shuai Ge sia (like magic like that; *pfft*). HAH HAH! Really la... I didn't know fei ge so 爱美. L0L! $29 for that! I'm like your accountant liao. L0L! Then, we went to Bugis Junction? or Parco Bugis ? I don't know... both the same to me. We went to Giodarno I think and he got this orange T-shirt for $12. That's like the cheapest thing so far. L0L! The fitting room queue was long and so was payment. By the time everything was done, it was a minute to 7pm. L0L! So he took a cab to Suntec City for bible study and I went home. -.= So in total he spent... $20 + $32 + $29 + $12 = $93 just for Xmas!!! OMG !!! OMG !!! OMG !!! OMG !!! OMG !!! L0L! But where's my xmas gift ? =[ HAH HAH! =X *Sighz* I'm feeling kind of bored now. I realised that my dad has this DVD called "Triangle" and it is about the Bermuda Triangle. I'll take a look at that later. Erm... Abit off topic. L0L! Anyway, it's fun going out with fei ge la, he has always funny stuff to say and do. L0L! Just to let you know!! I'm still thinking about going this weekends k ? Although I didn't take the invitation card, but it hasn't slipped from my mind yet! Oh well, I'm going to stop here for now yeah? This is like a LONG entry! I forgot what time I started to blog, but I think it is at least an hour ago or so already. Alright then, so take care everyone and Merry Christmas in advance!!! =] "Never tell evil of a man, if you do not know it for certainty, and if you know it for a certainty, then ask yourself, 'Why should I tell it?'" - Johann K. Update!
!! I didn't update for 2 whole weeks! Damn! The common test week is officially over and now's the start of the short term break. The common test papers were alright except for MPI, which I get the feeling that I'll fail. Other then that, the rest were more or less alright.
I watched the entire season 1 of Newlyweds yesterday. L0L! It's about the life of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. It was quite entertaining and I realise that Jessica Simpson is really dumb. Too bad both of them broke up already. Oh well, I'll go watch some MTV Cribs later. Christmas is coming!! Ok... I'm too lazy to update. L0L! I'm going to watch Survivor now. Catch yall later! =] "There are two ways of exerting one's strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up." - Booker T. Washington

My December
Can you believe it ? 2006 is coming to an end soon! Christmas is coming, New Year is coming, Chinese New Year is coming and most importantly, my 19th birthday is coming!! L0L! Feb 15th is the day, so please record that date down and shower me with gifts on that day yeah! =]
Common test is coming next week. I have 3 papers in total on the 11th, 14th and 15th. *Sighz* I still can remember I screwed up my common test last semester. Hopefully, I can do better this time. My confidence level is really low, but at least I started studying already. However, so far all the readings I've done on the theory part is horrible. I hardly understand stuff and I keep getting drifted away all the time. I guess I'll just have to go through everything all over again. It sucks whenever I try to study, but I just can't get anything in my head. The good thing is that I'll have a 2 week break after my common test. It is also the last 2 weeks of the month. I'll get to celebrate Christmas and New Year's day in peace with no worries! Hmmm... hopefully, during that 2 week break I can go on a short holiday to Phuket or Bangkok! L0L! I think I still have to go back to school during the break for a day for some makeup lesson. Ain't that a B. Oh... I've started to plan my schedule already for the break and there after. I'm going to start playing squash and do some jogging every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Then, I'll go swimming on Saturdays at the club nearby. Hopefully, I'll stay true to myself and carry out everything I've just said. L0L! I have to get my fitness level up before National Service. I don't want to die in there. I realise that I'll probably not be celebrating my 19th birthday again. =( That's no birthday celebrations for my 18th and 19th birthdays. *Sighz* My 19th birthday falls on the Examination week. Furthermore, it's on a Wednesday. Man, tough luck. Sometimes, I just can't believe my luck. I guess that's life right ? Life's never fair. I have to make my electives decision by this coming Friday. I feel that it is going to be a difficult decision to make because I do not like any of the electives that they are offering. Sometimes, you just wish the school would just choose it for you and settle your problems. It sucks especially when this is the first year they are trying out this new sh!t. Also, I need to make a decision if I'm going to Yunan with the school for community work by the 8th of Janaury. My friends are all telling me to go and I'm still thinking about it. I'll try to come to a decision after my common test is over. Something that I will be looking forward to is the BBQ on the 22nd of this month with my Secondary school clique. I haven't met them for quite some time already, so I think that it's going to be a wonderful reunion if everyone actually do show up. Yeah... you get my drift. People usually will back out at the last moment. We'll just wait and see then. I'm going to stop here for today. I think the next update you'll see is after my common test? Haha... Hopefully I'll update again soon then. Take care! =] "Be a fountain, not a drain." - Rex Hudler |
