<--- Rewind !!
Man, I didn't blog for 5 days !? Time really flies that fast eh ? Alright, time to rewind then. I'll skip Wednesday and Thursday because there wasn't really much happening if I remembered correctly. L0L!
On Friday after school, I went to watch The Lake House with Alex, Andrea, Gavin and Qing Xiang at West Mall. The cinema was quite empty actually, maybe because it was $9.50 as it was on Friday after 5pm? Yeah, it's damn expensive in my opinion, but fortunately it was really worth the money. I enjoyed the movie a whole lot and I recommend everyone to watch it. It's basically a romantic love story featuring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. They were living 2 years apart but they were able to communicate with each other via a postbox by the Lake House. Seriously, a MUST watch especially for those couples out there. L0L! This is probably one of the best romantic love story since The Notebook in my opinion. Anyway, after the movie we went to the arcade to play for awhile before going to the food feast to grab some dinner. I bought Takopachi and Mee Goreng, but both were not up to standard so it was disappointing. We left about 10pm and while I was walking back to the Bus Interchange, this lady from Prudential came up to me and asked me to do a short survey. I helped her willingly because I wasn't rushing for time or something. She asked me if I could spare some time to allow her to share their savings plan with me. I decided why not and we went to Burger King to sit down and chatted for about an hour. Basically, the plan is called Prusave and it's a fixed deposit savings account. For example, you have to put in a fixed amount of money each month. I found the plan very attractive because the interest they are offering is 4.2% per year and it fluctuates with the economy. Normal banks only offer 0.25% per year, so there's a huge difference there. The thing is that you have to put that money there for 25 years and you can't take it out till the end of the 25th year. Let's say if I put in $50/month, this means that my principal amount would be $15,000 and the total amount of money at the end of the 25th year that I get back would be *drum rolls* $27,000 +++. That's like more than $10,000 worth of interest, which normal banks never give. Furthermore, the plan includes insurance in case of death or critical illnesses. Yup, so I actually signed up for it and I'm given a period of 1 month to change my mind or anything. My parents are quite hesitant about it, but I'm trying to persuade them because it's a good deal in my opinion. I think I'll still go on with the plan, but I'm basically just letting them know. Yesterday, I went to Jeremiah's house to bake brownies for our IS project. We managed to complete the "Team Completion" thing in the IELS as well. We went to his house about 1pm+ and make brownies till around 5pm+ ? We went downstairs to play soccer for awhile after that. L0L! Yeah, then this small boy came with his dad. I'm not sure how old he is, but I don't think he can speak yet. However, he could walk already and he wanted to play with us. So, we played until 6.30pm++ and we needed to go already, but the boy didn't want us to leave. L0L! Oh ya, Jeremiah nicknamed him as Marshmallow Man. L0L! In the end, his dad had to carry him off home and he cried all the way. L0L! Yup, that's pretty much what happened for yesterday. As for today, I went to Jeremiah's church to sell the cookies. Farhanah couldn't come as in wasn't very appropriate as she was a Muslim. Anyway, me and Leonard reached his church at 12pm and Jeremiah was busy with some stuff till 1.30pm. So we toured around the church and went to the fun fair. We went to find his store and we realised that everything was already sold out. L0L! I just remembered I forgot to pay Leonard $5 back as we share money to buy 1 coupon which cost $10. We played a few games as well and I managed to get some prize for young kids, so I'll give that to my cousin. Leonard and I left for home at around 2pm. When I got home, I finished doing all the online stuff there is before revising through a little of my maths. I got to get back to my studies right now. I'll be really busy mugging for this coming month, so wish me the best for my exams yeah ?
