I'm Back!!!
Hey everybody! I'm back from my trip to China. L0L! I was actually back yesterday already, but I was a little tired and lazy to blog, so I'll make it up today ya? I thought for sure that I would have a long blog entry after my 9 days in China, but I'm able to sum it all up in just 1 word. That word would be Disappointing with a capital D because there wasn't much to appreciate.
Firstly, the scenery wasn't something to "Wow!" about. It was just okay and pretty normal. Most of the time, we were taken to lakes, which can get pretty boring after seeing 6 to 7 of them. Secondly, there were no wild activities to do. I wanted to do horseback riding at least and unfortunately, there wasn't enough time. Thirdly, there wasn't anything to shop at all. Out of 10 shops, all 10 of them sold exactly the same stuff. Although I did manage to get some stuff, they weren't all that good. Yup, I did get gifts too, but honestly, they are pretty pathetic. L0L! I'm extremely sorry about that. Alright, enough of my complaints let me tell you some of the highlights of my trip. L0L! Firstly, the 5 star hotel in Jiu Zhai Gou was fabulous. It was the best hotel out of the rest of them. The buffet breakfast and dinner we had there was just delicious. Secondly, the food we had on day 7 was the best out of the whole trip. For lunch, we went to this restaurant that deals only with tofu, but it was really nice. For dinner, it was at a local restaurant, which uses different kind of herbs for their dishes, which turned out really good as well. Thirdly, the day 8 tour to see the Pandas. L0L! To me, that was the best place we visited for the entire tour. Yup, so you can imagine how bad it was right? L0L! On our last day in China, we had our time from morning till 1pm. My relatives and I were all pretty tired, so we only left our hotel at 10am for breakfast/lunch at their McDonalds. L0L! It was a pretty good meal, the taste was pretty different. More importantly, it was rather cheap considering the amount of food we had. L0L! We finished up and did some shopping after that. We didn't expect to get a lot of stuff because the previous day we went shopping, we came back empty handed. Anyway, it turned out that we got quite a lot of clothes for ourselves, families and friends. My aunt asked if she could use her credit card to pay for the stuff, the person said she could. When we got to the counter to pay for our stuff, the person told us that they didn't accept Visa. The person said they only accept their own China credit cards, which pretty much screwed up everything. We had to use cash to pay in the end and we only had 200RMB left. L0L! Our clothes added up to more than 800RMB, so we had no choice but to pick only a few. Oh well, that's life for you and Shawn for you. L0L! I landed in Singapore at around 9:15pm and reached home close to 10pm. I unpacked my luggage, took a shower, went online and did a whole lot of other stuff. L0L! I slept only when it was reaching 2am. It was a wonderful sleep all the way till 11:30am. L0L! I woke up for a good breakfast and had my lunch really late at 3pm. I met Sian Yang in the evening at West Mall just to sit down and chat. We had our dinner and got his microphone before we left for home. That sums up my whole day. L0L! That's all I have for you guys today. Do continue reading my blog since I am officially back in Singapore and back to blogging. L0L! Also, I would love to meet up with some of you guys soon too ya? Alright then, cya soon~! =] "To achieve great things we must live as though we were never going to die." - Marquis de Vauvenargues |
